Meet Our Staff
Reverend Fred Willis was appointed to First United Methodist Church in June 2010. He has served United Methodist Churches in League City, San Augustine and Texas City. Reverend Willis is a graduate of the University of Houston and Perkins School of Theology of Southern Methodist University. He and his wife Sarah have two children: Selah is 5 and Judah is 7 months old.
Martin Jones, Director of Music and Arts, has served Jasper FUMC in several capacities. In the late 70’s and early 80’s, he was the Director of Youth and Music. He then served United Methodist Churches in Cleveland, Athens, Tyler (Marvin), Kirbyville, and Lake Rayburn. In 2003 he returned home to Jasper FUMC. He has 24 years in Public School Music. He has a Bachelor of Music Degree from Sam Houston University and holds a Master’s Degree from University of Texas at Tyler. He and his wife, Karen, have two children, Melody and Martin Jr.
Jay Neff, Youth Director, joined the staff of First United Methodist Church of Jasper in June, 2010. Jay has served several United Methodist Churches in theTexas Annual Conference. Jay and his wife, Leslie, have three children: Megan, Willa and Grayson.
